Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Wellness Director to join our team. As the clinical leader, you will oversee the nursing team and be responsible for guiding and encouraging staff to provide exceptional care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a current state license as a professional Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/ Registered Nurse (RN)
- Lead by example, demonstrating a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with staff, residents, and their families
- Effective communication is key, ensuring seamless collaboration with staff, residents, and external partners
- Active listening and empathy are essential in building strong relationships and resolving conflicts
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing situations
- Work closely with the dining room manager to identify dietary needs and develop personalized plans
- Take ownership of tasks and responsibilities, remaining focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility is essential, with the ability to work varied hours as needed
What You Can Expect
- Contribute to the highest quality of life for our residents by maintaining exceptional standards and consistency
- Review routines, calendars, and team member schedules to ensure seamless coordination of resident appointments, treatments, and procedures
- Assist with new resident orientation and transition to our community
- Develop, implement, and update service plans to meet individual resident needs
- Make daily rounds to observe and evaluate the physical and emotional status of residents
- Coordinate admission and discharge of residents, ensuring a smooth transition
- Evaluate employee performance and assume responsibility for recruiting, hiring, and training new staff members
- Ensure accurate documentation of resident clinical status and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Manage medication and supply ordering, ensuring timely restocking and accurate counting at shift change
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
- Promote the mission, values, and beliefs of Deerfield Village
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $75,000 - $95,000 per year
- Depending on experience
