Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 3 South nursing unit, specializing in general medical surgical care for adult and geriatric patients. As a RN on our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of caregivers and receive endless support and appreciation.
Responsibilities- Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Monitors and documents patient condition, including vital signs and medication administration.
- Evaluates and updates patient care plans to achieve planned and expected outcomes.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
- Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Provides teaching and educational material to patients and significant others, considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
- Validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching.
- Maintains professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
- Additional certifications may be required depending on the unit or department.
