We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Nurse Resident to join our team at the Cleveland Clinic. As a Nurse Resident, you will participate in a comprehensive residency program that will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Participate in a residency program that focuses on individual learning needs and provides direct nursing care alongside a coach.
- Establish and prioritize patient care activities based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
- Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe and effective care for patients.
- Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Comply with established hospital and department personnel policies.
- Use effective communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Document patient information in accordance with established guidelines.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
- Additional certifications may be required depending on the specific unit or department.
The Cleveland Clinic is a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare environment that requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
The Nurse Resident will work in a team-based environment and will be expected to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Physical Requirements- Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
