About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Management Specialist to join our team at CBRE. As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of multiple portfolios of commercial mortgage loans, utilizing fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures associated with commercial real estate finance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the performance of assigned loan portfolios and serve as a primary contact between master servicers, special servicers, commercial lenders, rating agencies, and borrowers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to lenders and borrowers, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Review and prepare recommendations for lender consent items, such as leases, loan assumptions, and other real estate-related issues.
  • Review and interpret loan documents, ensuring compliance with loan servicing agreements.
  • Manage and review monthly Watch list reports and other lender-specific reporting requirements.
  • Participate in conference calls with lenders, directing certificate holders and/or special servicers on Watch list loans and other investor requests.
  • Provide formal supervision to individual employees within a single functional or operational area, recommending staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination.
  • Plan and monitor staffing levels and labor utilization, including overtime, and prepare and deliver performance appraisals for staff.
  • Mentor and coach team members to develop their competencies and lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with the company's values.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 5 years of industry experience, or 7-to-10 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the commercial loan servicing industry and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to sensitive issues.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles, with the ability to calculate intermediate figures and conduct advanced financial analysis.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents and solve problems involving several options.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and experienced in using loan servicing database systems.
