Job Title: Child Abuse Pediatrician

At Connecticut Children's, we are seeking a highly skilled Child Abuse Pediatrician to join our team. As a key member of our SCAN (suspected child abuse and neglect) team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive quality patient care to children from birth through adolescence.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform medical evaluations and recommend management on children and adolescents who are affected by suspected child abuse or neglect.
  • Provide outpatient consultation for patients at CT Children's Medical Center and Satellite locations with suspected abuse or neglect.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and provide clinical training about child abuse and neglect both at Connecticut Children's and within the community.
  • Develop and implement best practices regarding child abuse medical evaluations and treatment in the region.
  • Supervise APRNs and medical trainees in the program.
Requirements:
  • Board certification or eligibility in Child Abuse Pediatrics.
  • Current State of Connecticut MD licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
