Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Support Worker to join our team at the Community Center in Fountain Hills. As an Operations Support Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of events, classes, and other functions at the Community Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Setup and Tear Down: Ensure the set-up and take down of chairs, tables, staging, sound equipment, dance floor, or other equipment in accordance with lease requirements.
  • Audio Visual and Sound Equipment: Working knowledge of all audio visual, sound, lighting, kitchen, and bar equipment. Responsibilities include set-up and basic operation of equipment.
  • Facility Security: May occasionally open and/or secure the facility before and after events. Complete event reports noting attendance and any significant problems.
  • Custodial Duties: Perform custodial duties as needed, including but not limited to cleaning, sanitizing, and replenishing restrooms. Wash windows, walls, and mirrors. Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and vacuum floors. Dust and clean offices. Replace light bulbs, clean, and polish fixtures and empty waste receptacles and ashtrays.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turn-around times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: High School equivalency
  • Skills: Audio, visual, and customer service skills. Previous banquet or meeting facilities skills a plus.
  • Certifications: Possession of a valid driver's license for a minimum of two years with a good driving record. CPR/AED Certification.
  • Communication: Good reading skills. Ability to follow written instructions. Basic math skills. Ability to calculate and balance cash in and cash out transactions. Good written skills. Communication between shifts is essential.
  • Teamwork: Customer/client relations and team building skills are required. Communication and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.
Benefits
  • Position Classification: Part-Time Non-Regularly Scheduled, Temporary, or Seasonal employee classification. Therefore, the position does not include benefits.
  • State-Mandated Paid Sick Leave: The position does not receive benefits other than State-Mandated Paid Sick Leave.
