Job Title: Assistant General Manager

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Mainsail Lodging and Development. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and events, to ensure smooth and efficient running.
  • Staff Management: Lead, mentor, and train department heads and staff to ensure departments are adequately staffed and work to improve employee performance.
  • Financial Oversight: Assist in creating and monitoring the annual operating budget, controlling costs, and achieving financial goals.
  • Guest Services: Maintain and improve guest satisfaction by ensuring excellent customer service standards, addressing guest concerns, and promoting the hotel's loyalty program.
  • Sales and Marketing Support: Collaborate with the Regional GM and sales/marketing teams to support promotional campaigns and initiatives aimed at increasing hotel visibility and bookings.
Requirements:
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related major.
  • 5 years' experience in hotel operations management, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and late nights.
  • 2+ years' rooms background strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years' working proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
  • Must be able to work with, understand, and interpret financial information, hotel operations data, forecasting proficiency, and balance sheet management.
  • Ability to communicate with owners, partners, and corporate officers.
