Tri City National Bank is seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Closer to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Closer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate closing of loans, while providing exceptional customer service and support to our customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with loan processors, loan officers, and loan underwriters to ensure loan closing and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Train, mentor, and provide leadership to new and existing team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Prepare loan closing documents, including purchase, refinance, construction, and consumer mortgage loans, using industry-standard software and compliance guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with secondary mortgage lending and government loan regulations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all loan closing activities.
- Resolve problems and work independently with the bank's compliance department and legal counsel to ensure seamless loan closing processes.
- Assist in the training and implementation of new policies and procedures, ensuring that the procedures manual is current and accurate.
- Review loan files for completeness and accuracy, ensuring that all necessary documents are prepared and delivered in a timely manner.
- Monitor high-cost loans and TRID regulations, ensuring compliance with the 0% and 10% tolerance rules.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, loan officers, and other bank personnel, to ensure seamless loan closing processes.
- 3+ years of experience in consumer mortgage closing, with a strong understanding of mortgage closings and problem resolutions.
- Advanced education and/or certifications in mortgage lending, such as the Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) or the Certified Residential Mortgage Specialist (CRMS), are highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple work assignments and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A high level of energy and ability to manage high-stress situations, with a strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer files and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all loan closing activities.
Tri City National Bank offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
