Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Specialist to join our team at DirectedLINK. As a key member of our residential program, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for at-risk youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision and support to youth in our crisis shelter and transitional living program
  • Facilitate day-to-day operations and duties, adhering to our Mission Statement, Five Principles, and policies and procedures
  • Assess safety and prevent and manage crises
  • Document and maintain accurate records
  • Perform light cleaning and building maintenance
  • Act as a positive adult role model for youth

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience working with at-risk youth
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Computer literacy (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to work with other staff members, clients, vendors, and the public

Work Environment:

Our residential program operates on a 24/7 basis, with staff working varied shifts, including overnight shifts. You will work in a fast-paced environment, providing support and supervision to youth in our crisis shelter and transitional living program.
