About the Role

Mayo Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing analyses on biological specimens to aid healthcare providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses on biological specimens, such as blood and urine, to aid healthcare providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Participate in operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.

Qualifications

  • A two-year commitment to this position is required.
  • Shift Differential is paid for off-shift hours worked.
  • Relocation is offered to those relocating 70 miles or greater.

Education and Experience

  • For MT: Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or Clinical Laboratory Science, or Bachelor's degree plus Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
  • For MLT: Associate's degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program or U.S. military Medical Laboratory-training program.

Skills

  • Experience working in a medical field.
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Phlebotomy.
  • Willingness to travel to other MCHS locations for assignments as needed.
