Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our Design Studio team at Diverse Lynx LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that CAD data is complete and satisfactory for prototyping and manufacturing components through different processes.
  • Design and develop armatures and prepare CAD models and drawing packages for RFQ.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to obtain quotes and prototypes as needed.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Design Studio and Engineering teams to achieve project goals.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of events and prototype modeling activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and propose solutions for conflicts between feature requirements and technical feasibility.
  • Confirm with project teams that technical parameters are incorporated into designs.
  • Create and update design layouts, reference data, and engineering structures.
  • Support the development and construction of 3D models with respect to dimensional and technical constraints.
  • Communicate effectively with Product Design and Cab Engineering teams.
  • Represent Product Design as the department engineering authority in cross-functional teams.
  • Project product design interests when communicating with engineering and suppliers.
  • Introduce new technical solutions and provide technical specifications for designers and technical surfacers.
  • Create various technical specifications to direct design work.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering and dealing with components.
  • Competency in Catia V5 (minimum 10,000 hours) with Creo knowledge being an asset.
  • Ability to own tasks and proactively move forward in a clearly defined plan of execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and visually.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Dependability and reliability.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This position is a very physical hands-on role, requiring the ability to lift up to 45 pounds and ascend/descend ladders/stairs.
