Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced RFIC Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing cellular-band RFICs with standalone or integrated LNA cores, RF switches, attenuators, controllers, and various RF and analog functional blocks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with a group of Analog/RFIC design experts in the development of cellular-band RFICs.
  • Interface with system engineers and module design teams to create detailed specifications, report design progress, and collect, track, and resolve performance and circuit design issues.
  • Develop and use advanced linear and nonlinear models or simulation techniques and translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and measured performance of a device.
  • Optimize RFIC performance using RF and microwave engineering knowledge.
  • Utilize simulation tools, analog and RF circuit test characterization techniques, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Transistor-level CMOS or SOI RFIC design knowledge.
  • Basic device physics.
  • Ability to develop and use advanced linear and nonlinear models or simulation techniques and be able to translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and the measured performance of a device.
  • Optimize RFIC performance using RF and microwave engineering knowledge.
  • Utilize simulation tools, analog and RF circuit test characterization techniques, and equipment.
  • Good communication skills, ability to break down complex problems, set priorities, report progress, execute to a schedule, and have strong teamwork skills.
  • Strong understanding in RF/microwave fundamentals such as impedance matching, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, circuit stability, and Electromagnetic theory.
  • Relevant experience in micro-strip/strip line stack up/laminate/multi-chip module (MCM), PA, LNA, RF switch design, or passive circuit design such as integrated passive device, coupler, and balun.
  • Strong circuit simulation skills utilizing Agilent ADS, 2.5/3D EM tools such as Momentum/EMX/Sonnet, HFSS/CST, and Cadence.
  • Strong lab skills in data collection/analysis, lab debug/tuning, and product troubleshooting.
  • A self-starter and team-player with strong desire to learn on the job.
  • Strong desire and commitment to take product from concept to volume production.
  • MSEE year's experience or BSEE + 12 year's experience.
