Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled RFIC Design Engineer to join our team in Greensboro, NC or Cedar Rapids, IA. As a key member of our multi-discipline engineering community, you will work on designing custom parts for global markets. You will be paired with a mentor to support your growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Develop cellular-band RFICs with stand-alone or integrated LNA cores, RF switches, attenuators, controller, and various RF and analog functional blocks.
  • Interface with system engineers and module design teams to create detailed specifications, report design progress, and resolve performance and circuit design issues.
Requirements
  • Transistor-level CMOS or SOI RFIC design knowledge.
  • Basic device physics.
  • Ability to develop and use advanced linear and nonlinear models or simulation techniques.
  • Optimize RFIC performance using RF and microwave engineering knowledge.
  • Utilize simulation tools, analog and RF circuit test characterization techniques, and equipment.
  • Good communication skills, ability to break down complex problems, set priorities, report progress, execute to a schedule, and have strong teamwork skills.
  • Strong understanding in RF/microwave fundamentals such as impedance matching, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, circuit stability, and Electromagnetic theory.
  • Relevant experience in micro-strip/strip line stack up/laminate/multi-chip module (MCM), PA, LNA, RF switch design, or passive circuit design such as integrated passive device, coupler, and balun.
  • Strong circuit simulation skills utilizing Agilent ADS, 2.5/3D EM tools such as Momentum/EMX/Sonnet, HFSS/CST, and Cadence.
  • Strong lab skills in data collection/analysis, lab debug/tuning, and product troubleshooting.
  • A self-starter and team-player with strong desire to learn on the job.
  • Strong desire and commitment to take product from concept to volume production.
  • MSEE + 8-10 year's experience or BSEE + 12 year's experience.
What We Offer

Competitive base pay range: USD $124,400 - $235,700 per year. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, and more. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan and certain roles are eligible for additional awards.
