Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Supplier Diversity Program Manager to join our team at IndyGo. This is a full-time position with a guaranteed 40 hours/week schedule.

About the Role:

The Senior Supplier Diversity Program Manager serves as IndyGo's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Liaison Officer and is responsible for managing IndyGo's Supplier Diversity Program, which administers the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program for federally funded projects and proactively promotes the utilization of minority, women, veteran, and disability-owned businesses on IndyGo's locally funded projects and procurements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Administering the IndyGo Supplier Diversity program and overseeing compliance with Federal Transit Administration guidelines to ensure continued federal grant funding.
  • Advocating for integration of supplier diversity into procurement policies and procedures.
  • Representing the corporation at industry events, supplier diversity forums, and networking opportunities to promote the corporation's commitment to supplier diversity.
  • Creating and implementing program policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Evaluating options for program effectiveness and implementing new strategies to improve IndyGo's Supplier Diversity Program.
  • Advising and updating the President/CEO and IndyGo board of directors on Supplier Diversity Program, policy changes, and achievement.
  • Interpreting federal regulations and determining methodologies used to develop, monitor, and report Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goals to the Federal Transit Administration in collaboration with departments across the agency.
  • Leading the coordination of special events including workshops, webinars, and networking events.
  • Analyzing data and preparing and submitting reports to Federal Transit Administration and City of Indianapolis Office of Minority and Women Business Development.
  • Determining Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and minority, women, veteran, and disability-owned business goals for contracts and procurements.
  • Monitoring Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and minority, women, veteran, and disability-owned business commitments through the life of contracts.
  • Developing and promoting educational opportunities and events to increase disadvantaged, minority, women, disability, and veteran-owned business participation.
  • Cultivating and maintaining external partner relationships with diverse supplier organizations and industry groups that routinely interact with the supplier community.
  • Ensuring Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and minority, women, veteran, and disability-owned business receive bid notices, requests for proposals, and information and assistance in preparing bids and obtaining bonding and insurance.
  • Providing training and outreach to the local vendor community and related professional organizations to educate them on the importance of supplier diversity.
  • Participating in Federal Transit Administration compliance reviews.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, management, leadership, or a related field. Or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background. A master's degree or professional certification as a Certified Professional in Supply Diversity, preferred.

A minimum of two years of relevant compliance or procurement work experience or diversity program development or management preferred. Experience as a data analyst preferred. Program management experience preferred. Federal regulatory experience desired but not required.

Salary:$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
