Position Overview: IT Specialist

The IT Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of technology systems within the organization. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining and enhancing the technical infrastructure.

  • Technical Assistance: Deliver comprehensive support to users, addressing challenges related to hardware, software, networking, and various devices.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to network and computer systems efficiently.
  • Upgrades and Repairs: Execute necessary hardware and software updates and repairs to maintain optimal performance.
  • System Management: Oversee system upgrades and configurations to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Network Security: Identify and mitigate network security vulnerabilities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Assess and enhance network performance, addressing any identified issues.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Conduct routine network maintenance, including IP routing, DHCP, DNS, and Wi-Fi configurations.
  • Server Management: Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, ensuring a stable environment.
  • Best Practices: Implement and promote best practices for effective IT systems management.
  • User Support: Provide assistance to end users via phone or chat as required.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required. A solid technical background is preferred, particularly in Networking.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities with a focus on identifying and resolving issues promptly are essential. Familiarity with Windows Server, Windows Operating Systems, and Microsoft Office Suite is required, along with the capability to install and configure software on computers.
  • Successful candidates must be able to pass a drug test upon hiring and may be subject to random drug testing thereafter.
