The role of Manufacturing Assembly Technician is crucial, directly influencing our reputation and profitability. You will work closely with your supervisor to ensure the highest quality in our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble components following established routing or schematics.
  • Incorporate all necessary hardware, electronics, transformers, and covers into assemblies.
  • Verify the accuracy of part quantities and monitor finished items for quality, notifying the appropriate personnel when stock levels are low.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to perform assembly tasks.
  • Execute repetitive assembly operations, including sorting and packaging lighting fixtures.
  • Assemble components into final lighting products and conduct testing on these products.
  • Prepare items for shipment, ensuring proper packaging.
  • Maintain expected productivity levels and communicate any issues promptly.
  • Engage in additional responsibilities as needed, including maintaining a clean workspace and adhering to 5S principles.
  • Handle special assignments, which may involve processing rework, scrap, and the proper disposal of batteries.
  • Assist in the assembly line processing of PCB boards, including applying solder paste/mask and placing components on boards in preparation for soldering.
  • Perform hand soldering on components that cannot be processed by the wave machine.

What You Bring:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a production environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and move parts weighing between 15-25 lbs, with occasional lifting of over 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Gmail.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and leadership.
