Job Overview

Technician Apprentice Role Summary:

A Technician Apprentice will develop mechanical expertise while gaining new skills to effectively perform cleanings, maintenance duties, visual assessments, and the disassembly of components and attachments. This role operates under the close guidance of a certified Service Technician to guarantee that all assigned tasks are executed safely and meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality minor repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/Standby Power Generators following manufacturer specifications.
  • Assist in the timely completion of all necessary documentation (e.g., repair details on work orders, information for state and emission inspections).
  • Support the diagnosis of Diesel Engines/Standby Power Generators failures by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling components.
  • Commit to and comply with all Company and industry safety protocols.
  • Examine protective guards, loose fasteners, and designated safety equipment on Standby Power Generators.
  • Interpret job orders, observe, and listen to equipment in operation to identify issues and plan work procedures.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Currently enrolled in a Diesel Technology Program.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
