We are seeking a Transformation Principal for the COMET Transformation Office. This role involves supporting the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Consolidated Operations, Management, Engineering & Test (COMET) contract, which provides essential ground and launch operations support.

Key Responsibilities:

Execution:
Under the guidance of the Chief Transformation Officer, you will facilitate the development of strategies in designated areas that support operational excellence. This includes conducting thorough analyses of operational processes to identify improvement opportunities and overseeing the implementation of new strategies.

Leadership and Management:
You will lead cross-functional teams comprising leadership, technical experts, and process improvement professionals. Your role will involve managing projects within defined scopes, schedules, and budgets while serving as a subject matter expert on operational excellence.

Customer / Team Relations:
Establish and maintain transparent and strategic relationships with organizational leadership at all levels.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A proven track record in operational process analysis and redesign.
  • Strong decision-making skills for planning and organizing workstreams.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, especially at the executive level.
  • Experience in addressing complex challenges and driving integrated solutions.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 15 years of general experience; or
- Master's degree with 12 years of general experience.

Must have:
- 5 years of experience in an operational transformation role.
- Demonstrated success in leading transformational projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with digital transformation concepts and their practical implementation in complex environments.

Desired Skills:
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management, Production Control Systems, Earned-Value Management, and various project management tools.
