About the Opportunity

The University of Central Florida is seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our interdisciplinary cluster in Renewable Energy and Chemical Transformations. As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen our academic offerings and research mission, we are looking for a talented individual to contribute to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in the areas of heterogeneous catalysis, catalytic synthesis of fuels, plasmonic catalysis, and catalysts for wastewater remediation.
  • Develop and implement innovative research plans that integrate with current activities of PIs in the cluster.
  • Teach and mentor students in the department of physics, chemistry, or material science and engineering.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to strengthen the research cluster and tenure home department.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. from an accredited institution in physics, chemistry, materials science and engineering, or a related field.
  • Consistent track record of competitively funded research grants and contracts.
  • Demonstrated research leadership ability and interpersonal skills.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a similar position for Assistant Professor, or Five (5) years for Associate Professor.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience performing research at the highest level.
  • Consistent track record of impactful publications.
