Position Overview: As a key member of the Department of the Navy, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and security of our information technology systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support: Assist clients in addressing inquiries from higher review authorities related to cybersecurity aspects of submitted documentation.
  • System Management: Provide comprehensive operations and maintenance support, including system upgrades and security applications for servers, databases, and applications.
  • Administration: Deliver both classified and unclassified support for operating systems, applications, databases, and web services across various laboratory environments.
  • Network Oversight: Maintain vigilant oversight of all network devices, including routers, firewalls, switches, and authentication systems.
  • Work Coordination: Assign and manage work tasks for team members based on organizational priorities and individual capabilities.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Eligibility for federal employment is required.
  • Participation in the direct deposit pay program is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of the E-Verify employment verification check is essential.
  • Compliance with time-in-grade requirements for current federal employees is necessary.
  • Retired military members must adhere to specific appointment provisions.
  • Registration for Selective Service is required for males born after a certain date.
  • Obtain and maintain a security clearance prior to employment.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with random testing protocols.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess at least one year of relevant experience in information technology, demonstrating competencies in:

  • Oral Communication: Skill in conveying information clearly and effectively.
