Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee existing systems while adhering to established policies and procedures to maintain their security and integrity across networks.
• Conduct research, design, develop, test, or manage the production and installation of electrical systems and components for commercial, military, or scientific applications.
• Assist in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) within a classified setting, helping to identify and implement comprehensive security measures for data handling and offering guidance on information assurance (IA) functions, particularly in IA planning, infrastructure protection, and defensive strategies.
• Engage in security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, security awareness, system administration, networking, maintenance, and ongoing monitoring of Windows and Linux servers, workstations, and virtual machines in both standalone and networked environments.

Basic Qualifications:
• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline, along with 4-6 years of relevant experience, or a MA/MS Degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient understanding of system security design processes, defense-in-depth strategies, information security domains, risk management, incident handling, configuration control, and principles of IA (confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, availability, access control).
• Experience in network design and management.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with Continuous Monitoring methodologies.
• Knowledge of VMware virtualization technology, including configuration and maintenance, as well as snapshot-based backup solutions.
• Understanding of Cisco and non-vendor specific managed and unmanaged switches and firewalls.
• Experience with Windows Servers, including GPO, Domain Controllers, DNS, and DHCP, as well as encryption-based systems.
• Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) for addressing Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
• Familiarity with cabling, including fiber optics in a multi-rack environment.
• Experience with KVM and SIEM implementation, as well as knowledge of McAfee endpoint enterprise solutions.
• Proficiency in shell scripting, with experience in PowerShell, Python, and Bash being advantageous.
