Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement measurement, evaluation, and research approaches to inform strategy and decision-making
  • Collaborate with grantees and partners to support their measurement and evaluation approaches
  • Leverage research and evaluation insights to advise on portfolio improvement opportunities and respond to senior leadership requests
  • Lead impact modeling at the division level and serve as a resource on impact modeling for program strategy teams
  • Develop and implement quality team learning experiences that are actionable and responsive to emerging insights and the needs of programmatic staff
  • Drive effective use of data and insights to support strategy development, investment planning, and outcomes tracking
  • Represent the division in foundation efforts to develop impact tracking and strategy return on investment
  • Lead a small team of direct reports focused on MLE special projects and related business processes
Requirements
  • Advanced degree or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Strong technical understanding of monitoring and evaluation theories, methodologies, and tools
  • Preferred: Strong knowledge of strategy development and implementation, design of performance management systems, goals, targets, and monitoring
  • Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools
  • Comprehensive experience in progressively increasing leadership jobs, including positions that formally lead people and teams
  • Experience leading complex initiatives with budget responsibility at the institutional or organizational level
  • Collaborator and relationship builder with experience working in a matrixed organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to identify and communicate external and internal dynamics, and articulate implications for strategy, priorities, and team evolution

The salary range for this role is $204,600 to $317,100 USD. We recognize high-wage market differences in Seattle and Washington D.C., where our offices are located. The range for this role in these locations is $222,900 to $345,500 USD.
