**Job Summary:**

We're seeking a seasoned Machine Learning Science Director to lead our team of Machine Learning Scientists in developing exceptional Natural Language AI (NLP) and Computer Vision (CV) models for our Travel platform.

The successful candidate will set the direction of the team, define project scope, success criteria, performance metrics, and communicate results to internal stakeholders. This role involves management of direct reports, collaborating with other leaders, and formulating solutions to drive business growth.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage a team of Machine Learning Scientists to develop NLP and CV models with superior performance.
  • Set the team's areas of focus, technologies to be developed, algorithms to experiment with, and machine learning approaches to research on.
  • Expand the team, hire new talent, coach junior team members, conduct performance appraisals, and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, success criteria, performance metrics, and communicate results.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a data science-related occupation, with at least 2 years of leadership experience.

**Compensation:** The estimated salary range for this position is **$272,094 - $298,000/year**, depending on factors such as location, skills, and experience.
