Caregiver for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Advocates. As a Caregiver, you will provide non-medical care and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities, including Autism and intellectual disabilities.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting individuals with daily living activities, such as meals and personal care
- Completing light housekeeping tasks and assisting with shopping and planning
- Accompanying individuals on walks, to the gym, and to social and recreational activities
- Assisting with hobbies and leisure activities
- Maintaining current progress and service notes and submitting all required documentation to Supervisor
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in providing companion or caregiving to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and access to an operational and insured vehicle
