About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Environmental Health and Safety team as an intern. As a key member of our team, you will assist in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with environmental sampling, area noise surveys, thermal imaging, and data entry.
  • Develop and maintain associated environmental records, including air emissions, chemical usage, and hazardous waste records.
  • Participate in on-site safety committee activities, including lockout-tagout, machine guarding, and hazardous waste programs.
  • Maintain and update injury prevention and workplace violence prevention plans.
  • Assist with overall environmental functions for the assigned facility and partner with onsite management to ensure local program ownership and accountability.
  • Provide support for safety initiatives, including incident investigations, safety audits, and process/procedure writing.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in a degree or alternative program (e.g., 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.).
  • Eligible for full-time employment on or before Summer 2027.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Enrolled in an Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Stewardship, Risk Control, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering related degree program.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards.
