At Essel, we are seeking a highly skilled Field Soils Technician to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for providing critical grading observations, compaction testing, and special inspections to ensure the highest quality of our projects.

### Key Responsibilities

* Provide grading observations to ensure accurate site layout and grading
* Conduct compaction testing on soils, aggregates, and asphalt to ensure compliance with project specifications
* Perform special inspections per additional inspection certifications in accordance with approved project documents
* Document project grading activities to ensure accurate record-keeping
* Provide sampling and Quality Control of concrete and/or grout to ensure compliance with project specifications

### Requirements

* Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers, clients, consultants, contractors, and potential clients
* Nuclear gauge usage certification
* ACI Field Technician Grade 1 license
* ICC Soils Inspector License is a plus
* ICC Reinforced Concrete is a plus
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
