Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Hygiene Manager to join our team. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for growing our current $2.0M business line by leveraging existing contracts and clients to expand services and expand our client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business growth strategies to expand our IH services and client base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and partners to identify new business opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to our IH team, including personnel management, salary reviews, and divisional budgets.
  • Prepare and review responsive proposals and technical reports to secure new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other division managers to leverage work across divisional marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science or engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • 10-15 years of IH and safety consulting experience with demonstrated business development capabilities and history of repeat business and client satisfaction.
  • Professional accreditation preferred (e.g., Certified Industrial Hygienist [CIH], Certified Safety Professional [CSP] or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager [CHMM]).
  • Proven leadership in project, staff, and business management.
  • Ability to mentor and train staff.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent technical communication, teamwork, business development, and staff management skills.

About Us

Founded in 1983 as an industrial hygiene (IH) and environmental consulting services provider in Baltimore, Maryland. Today, our company has over 140 employees performing work across three divisions involving environmental consulting, facilities, and construction. Our environmental division includes consulting, remediation, radiological, and IH service lines. We currently have eight offices throughout the United States including California, Ohio, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania with additional personnel working in Japan, Kenya, and Germany. Our business spans over 75 multi-year government contracts and an average of 1,000 projects annually for Federal, State, municipal, and commercial clients worldwide.
