Position Overview

The role involves collaborating with the Recreation team to deliver a comprehensive and varied recreation program for students. This position emphasizes health and wellness by overseeing recreational activities as per the approved schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all integrity protocols and procedures, ensuring the accuracy of student data.
  • Assist in supervising a diverse and comprehensive recreation program.
  • Coordinate recreation activities with the Center for Personal and Professional Development (CPP) and Social Development, including evening events.
  • Collaborate with Center and local community resources to enhance recreation and leadership programs.
  • Ensure adherence to safety practices and program compliance within established guidelines.
  • Document student engagement and accountability during recreational activities.
  • Manage inventory of equipment and materials, recommending purchases and performing necessary repairs.
  • Oversee the condition, appearance, and organization of recreation facilities.
  • May supervise the student recreation aide program.
  • Deliver quality work and assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Maintain high standards of personal attendance, accountability, and productivity.
  • Plan, prioritize, and organize tasks to meet set goals and deadlines.
  • Apply job knowledge effectively to fulfill all responsibilities.
  • Continuously develop skills necessary for job performance.
  • Mentor and model the Career Success Standards as required.
  • Provide effective supervision and management for the student population, positively influencing behavior.
  • Ensure timely operational support for Center activities to deliver quality programs and services.
  • Communicate ideas and information clearly and concisely, contributing meaningfully to group efforts.
  • Identify problems, analyze causes, and evaluate solutions before taking action.
  • Collaborate with staff across all departments to ensure effective supervision and services for students.
  • Accept guidance and supervision from the Center Director and other management personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's Degree or one year of relevant experience working with youth is preferred.
  • A valid in-State Driver's License is necessary, and meeting Company insurability requirements is essential. A CDL is preferred.
  • Physical demands include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Must demonstrate the ability to lift 40 pounds and assess loads to request assistance when needed.
