Senior Vascular Technologist Lead

The Vein and Vascular Institute is in search of a Senior Vascular Technologist Lead (RVT) to enhance our dedicated team at our IAC accredited Vascular Laboratory and Vein Center. Our facility specializes in diagnosing and treating venous disorders, providing a wide array of vascular testing services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the ultrasound department
  • Manage patient scheduling to ensure operational effectiveness
  • Foster a supportive workplace culture
  • Act as a clinical resource for sonographers
  • Guarantee precise and timely documentation of ultrasound examinations
  • Collaborate with the office manager on operational issues
  • Maintain IAC accreditation and recommend enhancements to policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance of technical personnel with IAC standards
  • Facilitate staff training and educational growth
  • Supervise equipment upkeep, upgrades, storage of ultrasound images, and EMR integration
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere for patients and prepare them for ultrasound examinations
  • Prioritize patient safety and comfort at all times
  • Conduct and document vascular examinations
  • Ensure all vascular studies are performed to the highest quality standards, providing a positive patient experience
  • Work with the billing department on coding and reimbursement issues
  • Travel to various locations as needed, with travel reimbursement provided
  • Ensure the maintenance of RVT certification for staff members
Required Skills:
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities
  • Exceptional vascular testing expertise, including venous, carotid, and arterial studies
  • Professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with patients and colleagues
  • Outstanding patient interaction abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong time management skills
Education and Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required
  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
Experience:
  • At least 4 years of experience in vascular testing with progressively responsible roles in department leadership. Experience with successful IAC accreditation application completion is preferred.
