Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Registered Vascular Technologist to join our team at the Vein and Vascular Institute. As a key member of our vascular lab team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the ultrasound division, ensuring operational efficiency, and providing a positive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the ultrasound division and ensure accurate and timely documentation of ultrasound studies
  • Cultivate a positive workplace environment and serve as a clinical resource for sonographers
  • Collaborate with the office manager on operational matters and maintain IAC accreditation
  • Ensure compliance of technical staff with IAC standards and support staff training and educational development
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, upgrades, storage of ultrasound images, and EMR integration
  • Provide a welcoming environment for patients and prepare them for ultrasound studies
  • Uphold patient safety and comfort at all times and perform and document vascular studies
  • Ensure all vascular studies performed are of optimum quality and provide a positive patient experience
  • Collaborate with the billing department on coding and reimbursement matters
  • Travel to satellite offices and oversee the maintenance of RVT certification of the staff
Requirements
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent vascular testing skills including venous, carotid, and arterial studies
  • Polite, professional, and upbeat attitude when dealing with patients and co-workers
  • Excellent patient interaction skills
  • Careful attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and be able to multi-task seamlessly
  • Good time management skill
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required
  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
  • Minimum 4 years of vascular testing with progressively responsible experience in leading department
