We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Registered Vascular Technologist to join our team at the Vein and Vascular Institute. As a key member of our vascular lab, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the ultrasound division, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the ultrasound division, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality patient care.
- Patient Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate patient scheduling and ensure timely and efficient processing of ultrasound studies.
- Clinical Resource: Serve as a clinical resource for sonographers, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely documentation of ultrasound studies.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain IAC accreditation and suggest improvements in policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Staff Development: Support staff training and educational development, ensuring that all technical staff are up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee equipment maintenance, upgrades, and storage of ultrasound images, ensuring seamless integration with EMR systems.
- Patient Experience: Provide a welcoming environment for patients, preparing them for ultrasound studies and ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Study Performance: Perform and document vascular studies, ensuring that all studies are of optimum quality and provide a positive patient experience.
- Coding and Reimbursement: Collaborate with the billing department on coding and reimbursement matters, ensuring accurate and timely processing of claims.
- Travel and Representation: Represent the Vein and Vascular Institute at satellite offices, providing expert guidance and support to ensure seamless operations.
- Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree (preferred) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of vascular testing experience with progressively responsible experience in leading a department.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent vascular testing skills, polite and professional attitude, excellent patient interaction skills, careful attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently and multitask seamlessly.
