Event Service Supervisor

ASM Global, a leader in the management of public assembly venues, is currently seeking a part-time Event Service Supervisor to oversee operations at various events.
This role involves leading the Banquet and Concessions teams, ensuring that all setup, service, and closing procedures are executed flawlessly to provide an exceptional experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain effective communication with clients, Food & Beverage Managers, Catering Sales Managers, and Event Managers throughout events.
- Arrive on-site before events, dressed in uniform, well-groomed, and prepared to begin work.
- Interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and Concessions Event Orders (CEOs) accurately.
- Oversee all aspects of concessions, including setup, cash handling, and product rotation.
Inventory Management:
Responsible for the rotation, organization, and storage of products, ensuring accurate counts before, during, and after events.
- Capable of performing all duties related to both concessions and banquet positions.
- Support the goal of achieving a Health Department score of 90 or higher.
- Adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands and unexpected events.
- Creatively design and create decor and displays for product merchandising when necessary.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving guest complaints effectively.
- Possess a thorough understanding of menu offerings, packaging, and pricing.
- Maintain cleanliness and perform preventative maintenance on all concessions equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Duties:
- Lead and communicate effectively with staff, delegating tasks positively.
- Pay attention to detail and ensure consistency in procedures.
- Oversee all concessions and banquet operations.
- Collaborate professionally with peers across departments.
- Ensure team members are well-prepared, well-groomed, and knowledgeable about policies and menu items.
- Provide training and coaching to concession workers, cashiers, and banquet staff during shifts.
Qualifications:
- Maintain a positive attitude and adhere to company policies.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Exhibit attention to detail and a service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Proficient in English.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Pass a criminal and credit background check.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in food and beverage service is required.
Additional Requirements:
- Availability to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to work 90% of scheduled concession shifts.
- Obtain a TABC license within the first 60 days of employment.
- Possess Serve Safe certification or Food Handler Card.
Physical Demands:
The physical requirements for this position include:
- Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of at least 40 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for operating office equipment.
- Constant standing, walking, stooping, and reaching.
- Handling food and chemical products.
- Ability to work extended hours in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
