Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Division Vice President of Construction Operations to join our team at PulteGroup. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the residential construction activities, materials management, and contract administration. This role requires a strong leader who can design, implement, and support programs that ensure the highest quality end product while meeting and/or exceeding target financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement programs to ensure the highest quality end product while meeting and/or exceeding target financial goals.
  • Act as a construction liaison to other functions and divisions within the Company, the community, and construction/development industry groups.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning on the departmental and community level.
  • Oversee the estimated job cost projection, general bid, pricing update, contracts, and purchase order processes as directed by company policy and management direction.
  • Prepare and/or manage and operate within approved budgets established for all departments under Construction Operations.
  • Monitor and protect company assets.
  • Accountable for completion of construction projects on time, within budget, and within quality standards, to meet business performance expectations.
  • Supervise 10 or more employees and 3-5 functional areas of business.
Management Responsibilities

As a Division Vice President, you will be responsible for mentoring, coaching, and providing feedback to direct reports. This includes:

  • Ensuring appropriate staffing to meet department needs.
  • Utilizing recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talent.
  • Delegating work according to employee's abilities and skills.
  • Evaluating employee's performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performance.
  • Providing developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities.
  • Creating opportunities for employee growth.
  • Providing continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors).
  • Contributes through guiding and developing others with influence at the division or city level.
  • Has full business partner authority.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Business or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License because driving is an essential function of this position.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years previous related experience in production home building industry.
