Role Responsibilities:
The Purchasing Intern will be involved in:

  • Facilitating ongoing and future initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and cost reduction.
  • Assisting internal stakeholders along with the Purchasing and Quality teams.
  • Providing analytical support and maintaining data for engineering projects.
  • Updating and managing the cost tracking documentation, ensuring clear communication with relevant team members.
  • Conducting audits on purchase orders, including detailed follow-ups and communications.
  • Helping to revise compliance documents for the purchasing master list.
  • Coordinating sample parts in collaboration with manufacturing and engineering departments.
  • Supporting the engineering change process and engineering-to-order projects.
  • Collaborating with the materials team on ongoing projects.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary.
  • Strong competencies in communication, teamwork, and active listening are valued.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities effectively while maintaining organization in a dynamic environment.
