Dukehealth is a renowned healthcare institution seeking an exceptional Medical Oncology Specialist to join our esteemed team of caregivers.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding internal medicine skills, with a proven track record in oncology experience. As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will provide direct patient care services and collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients through stem cell transplant, CART, MGUS, and treatment phases, promoting exceptional patient care throughout their cancer journey.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Promote and maintain high standards of patient care, ensuring seamless continuum of care.
  • Elicit detailed patient histories, perform thorough physical examinations, and order diagnostic imaging tests as necessary.
  • Formulate appropriate treatment plans using critical thinking and high-level clinical judgment, including prescribing medications.
  • Chart patient progress, maintaining accurate and detailed health records.
  • Participate in clinical research projects, documenting toxicities and data collection.
  • Communicate effectively among multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians, APP colleagues, and team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to patient education, working with family members, new staff, students, and other learners.

**Requirements:**

  • Nurse Practitioners: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Physician Assistants: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred.

We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
