About the Role

The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of surgery (one or more surgical specialties). Applicants must have an M.D. degree.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research in a surgical clinical or educational subspecialty
  • Teaching of medical students, research-rotation residents and lab personnel regarding laboratory policy and procedures
  • Development of an individual training experience in research skills and teaching

Qualifications

  • Expertise in a specific area of surgery (one or more surgical specialties)
  • M.D. degree
