Job Summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a skilled CDL Rear Load Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for collecting and hauling waste and recycling materials to disposal sites and recycling plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by emptying trash and recycling containers into the truck and hauling them to disposal sites.
  • May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.
  • Deliver trash and recycling containers as needed and replace them neatly at the curb or designated area.
  • Clean up waste spills and overflows, and maintain and update route and driver log sheets.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs.
  • Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body.
Requirements
  • Valid Class B CDL and a valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain prior to hire.
  • At least 19 years of age and no more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
  • No DUIs or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in all elements of weather, including cold, rainy, snowy, or heat. You will be exposed to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas, as well as residential and commercial waste. You may be required to travel between offices and work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
