ROLE SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an Associate to join the Remediation Risk team within the Global Markets Operating Risk organization. This team is tasked with overseeing Operational Risk across various sectors including Sales, Trading, Engineering, and Operations. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues in Operations and Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Internal Audit.

The ideal candidate will possess a keen interest in the financial markets or risk management techniques, along with strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with senior divisional leadership to develop, implement, and sustain a remediation risk program for the Global Markets Division.
  • Engage with Business, Operations, Engineering, and federation personnel to create complex solutions while managing competing priorities.
  • Oversee large-scale risk remediation projects that significantly impact the division, including regulatory and control remediation.
  • Comprehend strategic plans, commercial drivers, and technical architecture to influence and design solutions for enhanced risk mitigation and governance.
  • Generate management reports, dashboards, and strategic tools to highlight high-risk areas, improving visibility and facilitating escalation to senior leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Science, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, or Engineering preferred.
  • Experience in risk management or control disciplines within the financial industry or other sectors.
  • Proven project management and process improvement skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets and products.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to convey information clearly and accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Commercially focused, team-oriented, and self-motivated.
