Job Summary

The Controls Engineer I will be responsible for aiding in the fabrication, design, and installation of large-scale steel mill projects. This role requires a strong understanding of process control systems, including PLC and electrical systems, as well as experience with industrial piping design and bulk material handling.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electro-Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years' related work experience. Proficiency in Allen Bradley equipment and Rockwell Software is required, as well as experience with Siemens equipment and software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design large-scale projects from concept to installation for the steel mill industry
  • Programing of PLC/HMI units for steel mill projects
  • Traveling to customer sites for installation and debugging of PLC/HMI units
  • Work with customers to help integrate PLC/HMI units to a level 2 application as needed
  • Aiding manufacturing team with the fabrication of projects as required
