As a full-time Certified Surgical Technician, your schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a rotating day off each week. This rotation includes a 4-day weekend every four weeks due to the schedule structure. On-call duties are required, typically 2-3 days per month, including one weekend call every 6-8 weeks.

The Certified Surgical Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring safe surgical procedures by assisting the surgeon and anticipating their needs. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of surgical procedures and a commitment to maintaining a sterile environment to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist through NBSTA upon hire.
  • Current BLS certification required upon hire.

Experience: No prior experience is necessary.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Candidates must demonstrate knowledge and competency in current surgical and sterile techniques relevant to the specific unit and patient age groups.
