Core Responsibilities:
The Pharmacy Technician will work under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist to assist with the technical and non-clinical tasks involved in medication preparation and pharmacy operations. Key responsibilities include:
  • Participating as a reliable team member
  • Maintaining proficiency in sterile IV medication compounding
  • Completing all required onboarding and training
  • Restocking and organizing pharmacy inventory
  • Ensuring the removal of expired or damaged medications
  • Documenting activities in accordance with policy
  • Assisting in the training of new pharmacy technicians
  • Preparing sterile intravenous admixtures following regulatory standards

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • An active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in good standing

Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following are preferred:
  • One year of prior experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
  • National Certification (CPhT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
