The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the assessment, planning, execution, and administration of maintenance activities for the Challenger 605 aircraft. This role is pivotal in providing expert recommendations to uphold the aircraft's market value and manage asset maintenance, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Duties Include:
- Guaranteeing airworthiness in accordance with federal regulations by reviewing maintenance records, utilizing tracking programs, and adhering to FAA directives and manufacturer bulletins.
- Possessing a solid understanding of federal regulations, industry standards, OSHA guidelines, and IS-BAO protocols.
- Adhering to internal policies and procedures as outlined in the company's operational manuals.
- Effectively communicating with the Aircraft Chief Mechanic, Director of Maintenance, clients, vendors, and various internal teams.
- Fostering a safe working environment by promoting safety practices and reporting any hazardous conditions.
- Conducting unscheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance, and inspections to meet company standards and regulatory requirements, aiming for optimal reliability.
- Attending all departures and arrivals of the assigned aircraft.
- Diagnosing reported issues and addressing complex technical problems.
- Managing maintenance inspection requirements as per federal regulations.
- Providing technical assistance as necessary for the assigned aircraft.
- Ensuring all entries in aircraft logbooks and permanent records are accurate and compliant with company and FAA standards.
- Updating and utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Tracking Program.
- Ordering parts and materials as needed.
- Planning maintenance and overseeing inspections, repairs, and modifications at various locations.
- Collaborating with maintenance teams and supporting crew members as required, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
- Demonstrating effective oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail in documentation.
- Maintaining a valid US passport and necessary vaccinations for all aircraft missions.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate (A&P) is mandatory.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in aviation maintenance is required, with a focus on similar aircraft types being highly desirable.
- At least three (3) years of hands-on experience in corporate aircraft maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance planning and oversight of inspections, repairs, and modifications at service centers.
- Flexibility in work schedule is essential.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- A passion for continuous learning and professional development.
- Two (2) years of college education or equivalent technical training in a related field is strongly preferred.
