Job Summary

The Pre-Admission Surgical Services Provider is a vital member of the Surgical Services team, responsible for coordinating the preoperative assessment and evaluation of surgical patients. This role requires collaboration with other healthcare professionals, families, and patients to integrate patient care across the continuum of healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe and effective peri-operative assessment and care of surgical patients in partnership with anesthesia providers.
  • Conduct a thorough history and physical, order necessary labs, EKGs, and x-rays, and make referrals for further evaluation when necessary.
  • Effectively identify and evaluate findings, complying with anesthesia evaluation protocols and guidelines.
  • Assess surgical patients for medical and anesthesia clearance, enhancing and improving quality of care through pre-surgical screening.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge base, including EKG reading and interpretation, and a solid understanding of internal medicine, emergency, and urgent care services. Experience in a similar or comparable setting is highly preferred.

Must be licensed in the state of TX or be eligible to be licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider.
