Job Summary

Spray Products Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team at our headquarters and primary manufacturing location in Plymouth Meeting, PA. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for managing the overall quality functions for the assigned shift, ensuring the highest quality products are being produced.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods inventories to ensure product conformance to specifications.
  • Perform testing such as hP, viscosity, density, specific gravity conversions, moisture testing, and solids testing to ensure product quality.
  • Review production processes for conformance to quality standards and report any deviations to management.
  • Act as a liaison for all matters relating to quality of produced goods and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to operations with respect to performing transactions in our Deacom ERP system, including issuing materials to a job, inputting production, de-issuing materials, and inventory transactions.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or other science preferred, or 1 to 3 years' experience in Quality; prior experience in the Chemical industry a plus but not required.
  • ASQ, CQE, or CQM certification a plus but not required.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with Quality Control and Manufacturing to troubleshoot manufacturing problems/issues.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing plant/chemical lab environment.
  • Occasionally may be required to reach, squat, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for large periods of time.
Schedule/Salary
  • 7pm to 7am Monday through Thursday.
  • Occasional Fridays if needed due to ad hoc production or holidays.
