We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Per Diem Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse to join our team at Oregon Health & Science University Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

Job Summary

The Per Diem Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill neonatal, pediatric, and young adult patients in the PICU. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric critical care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the PICU
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in pediatric critical care
Requirements
  • BLS and PALS certifications
  • 2 years of experience in pediatric critical care
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric critical care principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • NRP certification
  • Experience working in a high-acuity mixed medical/cardiac PICU
  • Strong knowledge of Epic charting system
