Job DetailsThis per diem position involves floating to the NICU and Pediatric Units, unless the candidate desires to work in these units and has the necessary qualifications. The candidate will also float to other units when needed, including the 10N Intermediate Care Unit, 10S Hem/Onc Unit, 9S Surgical Acute Care, and 9N Medical Acute Care.
Candidates will only be expected to practice within their scope.
Job RequirementsRequirements include:
- BLS AHA certification (RQI not accepted)
- PALS AHA certification (RQI not accepted)
- 2 years of experience
HARD STOP:
Experience in CVICU, post-op hearts is required.
Schedule InformationThis per diem position is for 12-hour night shifts.
Unit Specific InformationThis position involves bedside procedures, including central line placement, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, intubations/extubations, CRRT initiation/discontinuation, ECMO cannulations/decannulations, chest exploration, and other emergent operative procedures for patients who are too unstable to transport to the OR.
Special EquipmentThis position requires experience with Hamilton G5 Ventilators, DirectLink ICP Monitors, Artic Sun Targeted Temperature Management, and Baxer Prismaflex Machines.
Additional DetailsThis position has a 48-hour review time and requires approval from the facility. The charting system is Epic, and a strong understanding of Epic is required. Scrub color is any color.
