We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Per Diem Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse to join our team at Oregon Health & Science University Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
Certification Requirements- BMT/Cellular Therapy experience is required, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a pediatric hematology/oncology setting.
- APHON certification is required.
- AHA BLS and PALS certifications are required, with RQI not accepted.
- CPHON and BMTCN certifications are preferred.
- Administer chemotherapy and other medications as ordered by physicians.
- Provide moderate sedation for procedures such as bone marrow aspiration and lumbar puncture.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
- Rolling start dates, with only 2 candidates per orientation accepted.
- 2 virtual orientations and 2 EPICs, with Beacon offered every other Monday and Inpatient EPIC on Tuesday.
- Unit orientation dates vary, with one 12-hour floor orientation based on candidate availability and facility bandwidth.
- 12-hour shifts, with flexibility to pick up shifts immediately following orientation completion.
