Pediatric Registered Nurse - Per Diem Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our Per Diem team at Oregon Health & Science University Doernbecher Children's Hospital. As a Per Diem Pediatric RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care to children with a wide range of medical conditions.

Job Summary

This Per Diem Pediatric RN position is a great opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to make a difference in the lives of our patients and families. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide individualized care to our patients, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including neurosurgical, neurology, respiratory, endocrine, nephrology, orthopedic, general surgical, cardiac, and more.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Perform various nursing procedures, including tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and dialysis.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as a Pediatric Registered Nurse (no new grads).
  • Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA PALS (RQI not accepted).
  • HARD REQUIREMENT: Vent Experience.
  • Willingness to float to less or like units when needed where qualified.
  • Inpatient Pediatric RN experience.
