Job Summary:
The Guest Services Agent is a key member of the Highgate Hotels team, responsible for providing exceptional service to guests during their stay. As a Guest Services Agent, you will be the first point of contact for guests, handling check-ins, check-outs, and resolving any issues that may arise during their stay.
Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Greet and welcome guests, ensuring a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Front Desk Operations: Maintain proper operation of the PBX console, ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests and meeting rooms.
- Communication: Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation in a timely manner.
- Cash Handling: Follow all cash handling and credit policies, be aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions.
- Knowledge and Skills: Be familiar with hospitality terminology, have knowledge of emergency procedures, and assist as needed.
- Technology: Fully comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
- Teamwork: Assist guests with safe deposit boxes, maintain a clean work area, and perform other duties as requested by management.
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Skills: Computer experience required, customer service experience preferred.
- Physical Demands: Light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Work Environment: Ability to stand during entire shift, maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
