Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and retain highly qualified educational personnel.
- Drive initiatives to meet defined enrollment and attendance benchmarks.
- Support the Principal in creating and sustaining a learning environment that encourages student success and implementing evidence-based instructional strategies.
- Manage all components of the core academic curriculum.
- Establish clear expectations for staff performance and adherence to organizational policies.
- Design and implement a comprehensive professional development program for staff.
- Analyze educational data to inform strategies for continuous improvement and to meet contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular evaluations of staff performance.
- Guide staff in achieving accountability measures and compliance with educational standards.
- Promote a school climate that supports student learning and implements research-driven instructional practices.
- Assume full responsibility for school operations in the Principal's absence.
- Foster effective communication and relationships with all stakeholders, aligning with the organization's mission and objectives.
- Perform additional duties as required to ensure the achievement of educational and behavioral goals.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of educational administration and school management.
- Familiarity with secondary education principles.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional theory.
- Ability to analyze data to enhance program effectiveness.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Capability to build and maintain productive relationships with staff and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in technology-rich environments.
- Competence in using productivity software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- Eligibility for state administrative or educational leadership certification.
- Valid state teaching certificate required if pursuing administrative certification.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in instructional or supervisory roles.
- At least three years of teaching experience.
- Preferred five years of experience working with at-risk youth.
